The "Suncake" was originally one of the engagement pastries in the Dajia area. After Yuzhenxin Bakery refined it by replacing lard with natural butter, its new name, "Butter Suncake," became widely famous through word-of-mouth among pilgrims. It is now collectively known as one of the "Dajia Three Treasures," along with "Dajia Mazu" and "Dajia Hats and Mats."
