Nantun Jute Mallow Culture Museum _ Litoudian

Nantun District in Taichung City is the cultural birthplace of the Taichung Basin. Its former name was 'Litoudian'. The name originated in the late Qing Dynasty when, to meet the demands of land reclamation, numerous blacksmith shops specialized in making farm tools and casting plowshares, thus establishing an agricultural tool trading center, from which the area derived its name.
