Nantun Old Street

Nantun Old Street refers to "Litoushop Street" (犁頭店街), which is today's Nantun Village. It was originally a large settlement of the Babuza Plains Indigenous People. During the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, Zhang Guo, the commander-in-chief of Dinghai, Zhejiang, and his subordinates recruited tenants to reclaim land here, leading to a surge of immigrants. This spurred the manufacture and sale of agricultural tools. Shops specializing in making plow tools gathered, forming an agricultural product trading center, hence it was named "Litoushop Street". "Triangular Street," "Nantun Market," "Wanhe Temple," and "Dragon Boat Festival folk activities" have become common and beautiful memories for the children of Nantun.
