Dakeng Hiking Trails No. 5 (Closed) and No. 5-1

Dakeng Trail No. 5 runs north-south, following the ridge line through Erku Mountain and Touku Mountain, connecting to Trails No. 1 through 4. Its elevation ranges from 595 to 859 meters. As you walk along the mountain ridge, you'll encounter several viewpoints with excellent scenery. There are many pavilions and observation decks along the trail for visitors to rest, offering panoramic views of Taichung's prosperous city center, with the Dadu Mountain Range visible in the distance. It's common to see people bringing tea-making equipment to enjoy tea and conversation amidst the boundless sea of clouds, making for a truly delightful experience!
