Visitor Essentials

Cishan Temple was founded in the second year of the Japanese Taisho era (1913). It was extensively rebuilt in 1973. The Main Hall (Daxiong Baodian), Kuri (monks' quarters/kitchen), and Huayan Pavilion are all reinforced concrete structures, grand and imposing, with beautiful garden scenery, making it ideal for a leisurely stroll. Outside the temple, the Pingtianli Fude Temple (Earth God Temple) offers a tranquil environment with ancient towering trees, exuding great charm. Visitors flock here throughout the year, making it one of the popular outing destinations in the Beitun area.
