Taichung Nantian Temple - Emperor Guan

Nantian Temple was founded in 1952. The main hall was built first, followed by the front hall which was completed in 1953. It primarily enshrines Emperor Guan and was, at the time, the largest Emperor Guan temple in Taichung City. In 1980, a towering 146-meter-tall statue of the Saintly Emperor, built on a six-story base, was constructed. Upon its completion in 1984, this magnificent statue became visible from afar, serving as a prominent landmark for Nantian Temple.
