Houli Environmental Park

After the Fengyuan Tri-Township Joint Landfill, which covered an area of over 20 hectares, was closed in 1998, the Taichung City Government initiated planting at the original site. Five hectares of this area were designated as the Houli Environmental Nursery. Following the Department of Agriculture's active efforts in backfilling and improving soil quality, the five-hectare nursery became vibrant with lush flora. After the successful operation of the nursery, the Department of Agriculture then embarked on a project to revitalize the environmental park.
