Ziyunyan Temple

Ziyunyan Temple is dedicated to Guanyin Bodhisattva and is also known as 'Guanyin Pavilion'. It is the largest Guanyin temple in Taichung. The main hall is a two-story building with a bell tower on each side. The temple roof is adorned with exquisite golden yellow tiles. This ancient temple was built during the Kangxi Emperor's reign in the Qing Dynasty and has undergone numerous renovations. The last major reconstruction was in the 61st year of the Republic (1972).
