The Cultural Museum of the Dongshi Hakka Cultural Park was renovated from the old Dongshi Train Station. The original train station platform, the rain shelter at the entrance of the waiting room, and other facilities were demolished during the renovation due to their aged structure. However, inside the exhibition hall, which was converted from the waiting room, the long benches used by passengers while waiting for trains are preserved. Behind the Dongshi Hakka Cultural Museum is the Dongfeng Green Corridor cycling path, where lush green scenery spreads across the corridor, making it one of the new landmarks for tourism. The Dongshi Hakka Cultural Museum displays Hakka artifacts and hosts irregular Hakka cultural exhibitions. The park also plans themed exhibitions related to Hakka food, clothing, housing, transportation, education, and entertainment, introducing their industries, language, and cultural characteristics. If you pass by this area, don't forget to visit the museum to see what today's special exhibition is; you might find unexpected discoveries.
