Dasyueshan National Forest Recreation Area

The Dasyueshan National Forest Recreation Area is located on the latter section of the southwest main ridge of the Xueshan Mountain Range. Its altitude ranges from the highest point, Hsuehshan (Little Snow Mountain), extending southwest to Anma Mountain, Chuanxing Mountain, and Shaolai Mountain, and down to the Shaolai Stream valley at approximately 1000 meters. In its early years, it was an important logging area in central Taiwan. The forest vegetation is abundant, divided into three forest zones – warm, temperate, and cold – each with a unique ecological forest landscape.
