Taichung Metropolitan Park

Taichung Metropolitan Park is located on the Dadu Mountain Plateau in Taichung City, covering an area of 88 hectares. It is a multi-functional large urban forest park that offers recreation, environmental conservation, and environmental education. It also serves as an urban green buffer zone and a disaster evacuation site. The vegetation, ponds, and wetlands within the park provide habitats for various animals. The design concept of Taichung Metropolitan Park positions it as a "Metropolitan Forest Park," with planning goals to provide large open spaces, vast green areas, beautified visual landscapes, diverse recreational activities, and natural resources. The main circulation axes of the park are designed around natural landscapes: the eastward view of celestial nightscapes, the westward view of sunsets, and the northward view for astronomical stargazing, which serve as the planning and design basis for the walking trail axes.
