Located in Wufeng District, Taichung City, the National Museum of Natural Science 921 Earthquake Education Park is a globally rare living textbook of natural science. It comprehensively preserves earthquake remnants, including fault displacement, collapsed school buildings, and uplifted riverbeds, caused by the powerful magnitude 7.3 earthquake that struck at 1:47 AM on September 21, 1999. All constructions in the park were completed in September 2007. The park features exhibition halls such as the Chelungpu Fault Preservation Hall, Earthquake Engineering Education Hall, Image Hall, Disaster Prevention Education Hall, and Reconstruction Records Hall. In addition to showcasing various aspects like historical site preservation, natural science, humanities, and historical records, the architecture itself is a significant highlight of the park.
