The Shuangxi Yuxing Rest Stop is located in Yuxing Village, Shuangxi District. During the Qing Dynasty, this site served as a place for soldiers to stop and regroup. In the 1970s, it was used as a dumping ground for coal slag from the Yuxing Coal Mine. Later, with the opening of a road, it was backfilled and transformed into a green space. The Yuxing Rest Stop is an essential stop along Provincial Highway 2C for those traveling between Shuangxi and Gongliao. It now integrates an Earth God Temple, an observation deck, and seating. Through landscaping and the redesign of recreational spaces, it combines elements from its coal mining past with the area's rich arboreal resources to create pathways and recreational facilities, offering a resting spot for cyclists.
