Xinxian Trail

The Xinxian Trail is located in Xinxian Village, Wulai District. It starts from Xinxian Suspension Bridge in the east and connects to Neidong National Forest Recreation Area in the west. Xinxian Village is originally the Lahaw community of the Atayal tribe, which has been transliterated as Lahao, Luohao, or Nahao, and means 'dense forest'. The Xinxian Trail is approximately 1.5 kilometers long, running closely along the south bank of the upper Nanshi River. In earlier times, it served as a road connecting Fushan and Wulai. The entire trail is flat and easy to walk, shaded by green trees throughout, making it a family-friendly recreational trail.
