Hu Lien's Former Residence Memorial Hall

Hu Lien's Former Residence Memorial Hall is located in Ankeng, Xindian. General Hu Lien dedicated his life to military service, making outstanding contributions to national defense. Hu Lien's Former Residence is a modernist-style building. After subsequent additions, the overall structure features an L-shaped layout. The building's most distinctive feature is the protruding bunker room on the west side, with gunports cut into the walls for defensive purposes, resembling the blockhouses found in Kinmen. It holds significant historical and military importance. The balconies and eaves are supported by cantilever beams, highlighting the architectural structure's characteristics. It was designated as a historical building by the New Taipei City Government in 2019.
