Yuan Dao Guanyin Temple is located in Tamsui District, New Taipei City. Its serene scenery is like a paradise, offering distant views of the beautiful sunset glow over the Taiwan Strait and the mesmerizing horizon where the sea meets the sky, or panoramic vistas of Datun Mountain and Qixing Mountain. Being there brings a sense of physical and mental tranquility. Yuan Dao Guanyin Temple is built in a Tang Dynasty architectural style, exuding a natural, rustic charm amidst an elegant forest valley. The outdoor area is lush and green, featuring landscaping with waterfalls, small bridges over streams, and walking paths, as well as the world's first garden with thirty-three Guanyin stone sculptures. In recent years, the temple's ongoing construction of the 'Tamsui Thousand-Handed and Thousand-Eyed Guanyin Bodhisattva Statue' set a Guinness World Record in 2019 for the 'Largest Steel Sculpture,' becoming a new landmark in Taiwan.
