Canguangliao Mountain is adjacent to the famous Jinguashi Scenic Area and stands at an elevation of 739 meters, making it the highest peak in the Keelung Volcano Group. Lush silvergrass is a distinctive feature of this mountainous region. Every autumn, the mountain is covered with silvergrass blossoms that glow with a dazzling silver light when bathed in sunlight. According to legend, this phenomenon is the origin of the name 'Canguangliao'. The summit of Canguangliao Mountain offers no obstructions, and with no higher peaks surrounding it, the line of sight can extend for nearly 100 kilometers. This provides a 360-degree panoramic view. In clear weather, one side offers a view of Taipei City, while the other allows you to see the San-Diao-Jiao Lighthouse and the Northeast Coast.
