Nanzai Ditch Cyclist Rest Stop

To provide Dahan River cyclists with a high-quality rest area, the New Taipei City Government has built a culturally-integrated cyclist rest stop inside the "Nanzai Ditch Pumping Station" next to the Crescent Bridge. They improved the station's environment and facilities, added surrounding directional signs, and installed rest platforms and restrooms, making visitors feel at home. In addition, to enrich the content of the cyclist rest stop, the construction team interviewed the New Taipei City Banqiao Cultural Association to obtain cultural and historical information about Banqiao Nanzai Stream. They used lively and engaging illustrations to display this information in the rest area of the cyclist rest stop, allowing cyclists, while resting, to better understand the land they are traversing and enrich their cultural literacy through interpretive information. This ensures the cyclist rest stop not only provides a safe and comfortable resting space for cyclists but also serves functions such as flood control, recreation, and environmental education.
