Danlan Suspension Bridge (Waian Ancient Trail)

The Waian Ancient Trail, one of the southern routes of the Danlan Ancient Trail, is located between Shuangxikou and Shiding Old Street in Shiding District, New Taipei City. During the Jiaqing reign of the Qing Dynasty, to facilitate travel between Taipei and Yilan, Prefect Yang Yanli opened the Danlan Ancient Trail. It starts from the Nuannuan area of the Keelung River, runs eastward along a small path beside the river, crosses the Sandiaoling and Caoling mountain areas, and reaches near Dali and Toucheng in the Lanyang region. Its total length is over 200 kilometers.
