Bang Keng Kou

Bang Keng Kou is another name for a 'tunnel entrance.' Currently, the term 'Bang Keng Kou' mostly refers to the Jiufen Mountain Bang Keng Kou. Its width was originally sufficient for two-way traffic of light rail cars, but now it can only accommodate a single van passing through at a time. The rock structure is hard, and mountain spring water frequently drips from the crevices inside the tunnel, becoming particularly noticeable after heavy rains.
