Tamsui Art Workshop

The Tamsui Art Workshop opened in 2011. It is not only New Taipei City's first public green building but was also rated as a 'Diamond Class' green building in Taiwan. The site was originally a four-unit Japanese police dependents' dormitory during the Japanese colonial period. The building itself preserved roof tiles removed from the original site, using them in the interior decoration of the new building, thus preserving historical memory. Therefore, the Tamsui Art Workshop boasts high-level environmental friendliness indicators in terms of ecology, waste reduction, and energy conservation.
