The Sunshine Bridge is New Taipei City's first human-centered scenic bridge across a river, designed for pedestrians and cyclists, featuring an attractive design and nighttime light sculptures. It was officially unveiled and opened to traffic on November 19, 2011. The Sunshine Bridge broke the record for the longest span among steel-structured bridges in Taiwan. With no piers in the river, it boasts a main span of 245 meters and a total length of 315 meters. It is a single-ribbed cable-stayed steel arch bridge, with its deck supported by five arch rings and steel cables resembling piano strings, highlighting the bridge's elegant and graceful design. It also won the 13th National Architecture Golden Award.
