Wulai Waterfall Visitor Center

Wulai is a renowned mountain township in northern Taiwan, situated in a water protection area, with a predominantly Atayal indigenous population. Located at the confluence of the Nanshi and Tonghou Rivers, this area features towering peaks on both sides and winding streams, forming a magnificent natural landscape famous for its hot springs, Wulai Scenic Trolley, waterfalls, and Yunxian Paradise. Legend has it that the term 'Wulai' originates from the Atayal indigenous language, meaning 'hot spring,' which explains the area's well-known hot springs, characterized by clear and transparent weak alkaline carbonic acid water. The famous Wulai Waterfall, about 80 meters high, appears like a white silk ribbon suspended in the air, creating a magnificent sight. Furthermore, the Wulai Scenic Trolley is another distinct feature of the area. Originally used for timber transportation, it now serves as a means of transport for tourists exploring and sightseeing.
