Daluolan Stream

The Daluolan Stream Ancient Canal Trail is also known as the Fushan Ma'an Ancient Canal Trail. "Daluolan" is "Tranan" in the Atayal language, meaning "the confluence of two streams," and is translated as "Daluolan" in Mandarin. Originally, Atayal people crossed the mountains from the Baling area of Taoyuan to hunt here. Finding the water sources abundant and the soil fertile, they gradually moved and settled here, making it the initial settlement for Atayal people migrating to Wulai. The Daluolan Stream, the lifeline of the tribe, boasts lush green banks on both sides. The river channel is sometimes narrow and sometimes wide, with fish swimming freely in its clear waters. The beautiful scenery is truly astonishing.
