Dongxing Temple

Dongxing Temple, located a few hundred meters from Longmen Camping Ground, has stood here since 1902. In 1902, the Renyin year, local prominent figures Wu A-dai and Wu You-tou, seeking peace and well-being for the villagers, specifically journeyed from Heping Island's Sheling Temple in Keelung to bring the spiritual essence (represented by incense) of the Three Princes Wang Ye (Lin, Wen, and Fu) to Wazi for worship. They built a small thatched temple for veneration. From then on, divine miracles appeared: favorable weather, national peace and prosperity, thriving industries, and people living in peace and contentment. Those who prayed when sick found their illnesses cured with medicine. Believers from near and far grew day by day, and the temple's spiritual power flourished.
