Located within the Jingtong Coal Mine Memorial Park, which is situated above Jingtong Station in Pingxi District, New Taipei City. The "Waste Rock Mountain" was not originally a mountain; it was formed by waste rock separated from coal after washing and accumulated over years, creating a hill or "coal gangue pile." It has now become a tourist attraction. Visitors can see mine entrances cut from rock. The scene of coal being mined from Shidi in the past and then transported out through the main inclined shaft seems to appear vividly before your eyes. Jingtong Coal Mine Park is covered with lush vegetation, and its intertwined, gnarled tree roots form unique natural murals, offering indispensable photo opportunities for visitors. Moreover, strolling through the coal mine park feels like stepping back into Jingtong of a hundred years ago.
