Mao'ao Fishing Village

Mao'ao Fishing Village is located on the coast of the Northeast Cape. It is an ancient small fishing village near Cape San Diego, offering panoramic views of the vast mountains and sea. The name Mao'ao is said to originate from the bay's appearance when viewed from above, which resembles the Chinese character '卯' (mǎo). For over a hundred years, residents have mostly relied on abalone farming or fishing for their livelihood, maintaining a simple and honest local culture.
