Visitor Essentials
Aodi Fishing Harbor is located in Zhenli Village, Gongliao District, New Taipei City. A small sheltered anchorage was built here during the Japanese colonial period. Aodi is a natural bay surrounded by mountains on three sides, and its seabed is mostly rocky with minimal issues of sand drift, making it an excellent location for a harbor. It provides berthing for local and visiting vessels during fishing seasons or typhoons. In recent years, in line with tourism policies, it has developed tourism-oriented fisheries, driving the development of the Aodi area. It is now one of the important fishing harbors along the Northeast Coast Highway. Due to its excellent geographical conditions, Aodi boasts abundant fishery resources, as well as marine plants like agar-agar, laver, and kelp, making it the main seafood distribution center on the Northeast Coast. The seafood street, less than a kilometer long, is home to over a dozen seafood restaurants of various sizes, offering fresh and affordable seafood.
