The name 'One Drop of Water Memorial Museum' has two origins: Firstly, it commemorates Mr. Tsutomu Mizukami, son of the original builder Kakuji Mizukami. Throughout his life, Mr. Mizukami inherited the Zen philosophy of the Japanese 'Tissui' (滴水) Zen master, advocating for cherishing all resources and believing that even an insignificant drop of water should be fully utilized. Secondly, it expresses gratitude to all the volunteer laborers during the relocation process. Through their substantial actions, they conveyed the spirit of selfless dedication, demonstrating that even something as small as a drop of water can eventually gather enough energy to complete this challenging international relocation project. Therefore, it was named 'One Drop of Water Memorial Museum'.
