Former Qing Dynasty British Consular Residence

Located on the east side of Fort San Domingo, the Former Qing Dynasty British Consular Residence is a Western-style building characterized by red bricks and arcades, completely different from Fort San Domingo's castle style. The brick building of the Consular Residence was designed by British architects and constructed by Chinese technicians, utilizing Chinese building materials. Its red brickwork, arched verandas, sloping roofs, and elevated steps successfully showcase the characteristics of typical colonial architecture.
