Jinguatiao Tea Fragrance Eco-Village

Located at the front endpoint of the Jinguatiao River Bikeway, you'll find the Jinguatiao Tea Fragrance Eco-Village. Pinglin District in New Taipei City, renowned for its Baozhong tea, has long been a vital tea production hub in northern Taiwan. It was named the Tea Fragrance Eco-Village because almost all residents in the village make a living by growing and producing tea. With the opening of the Beiyi Highway, Pinglin became an important stopover along the route and solidified its status as a tea production center, specializing in "Wenshan Baozhong Tea" and "Qingxin Oolong Tea". The tea plantations in Pinglin District are mainly distributed along Provincial Highway 42, the Jinguatiao River industrial road, and the hilly slopes adjacent to Beiyi Road. As you slowly drive along the roads, the rolling, continuous tea plantations offer an intoxicating scenery. The Beishi River and Jinguatiao River wind through the area, carving out many beautiful deep pools and valleys, creating a serene and peaceful ambiance reminiscent of Tao Yuanming's description of a secluded Peach Blossom Spring. This makes Pinglin District a renowned tea region that blends natural beauty with rich cultural charm.
