Shifen Station

Shifen Station is located in Pingxi District, New Taipei City. It is a railway station operated by the Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA) and is the largest station on the TRA Pingxi Line. When a train arrives, the driver performs a unique task: exchanging an old copper tablet, which serves as a train operating permit, to authorize the train's onward journey. This practice is a distinctive railway feature of the area.
