Mother Peak Hiking Trail

The Pingxi District in New Taipei City is surrounded by numerous peaks, with over 20 large and small hills, collectively known as the 'Twenty-Four Filial Piety Mountains'. Among them are three famous mountains – Filial Son Mountain, Mother Peak, and Putuo Mountain – which appear perilous and unscalable. Fortunately, on their steep and hard rock ridges, there are man-made carved rock steps, as well as ropes or iron railings to assist climbers, attracting many hikers who flock to them.
