Visitor Essentials

Huanggang Fishing Port is located southwest of Jinshan Cape, built at the estuary of Jinshan's Huangxi River. In the 17th century, after Spain occupied northern Taiwan and mined sulfur from Datun Mountain, they used this as a port for transportation, hence its name 'Huanggang' (Sulfur Harbor). Jinshan Cape is composed of thick sandstone layers, which block the strong northeast monsoon in winter, allowing Huanggang to avoid direct exposure to the monsoon and form an excellent sheltered harbor. Huanggang boasts abundant fish catches, making it an important seafood fishing port in the Jinshan area. Why not enjoy a lavish seafood feast after experiencing Jinshan's hot spring bath?
