Wuji Zhenyuan Temple of Heaven (Tianyuan Temple)

Tamsui Tianyuan Temple is located on the northwest side of the Datun Mountain Range, approximately 5 kilometers from Tamsui city center. Tianyuan Temple was founded in the 1970s. The main hall enshrines Wuji Laozu, and the principal deity is the Jade Emperor. In 1992, the "Wuji Zhenyuan Temple of Heaven" was added, a five-story sacred hall standing 200 feet tall, with a circular structure 108 feet in diameter, grand and spectacular. Each level of the sacred hall enshrines various ancient Buddhas and deities from the Wuji realm. During cherry blossom season, the magnificent Temple of Heaven beautifully complements the cherry blossoms, making it well worth a visit.
