Shanjian Road Trail

The Shanjian Ancient Trail was paved with granite steps in 1997 (Republic Year 86) and renamed the 'Tourist Trail,' reflecting the government's administrative mindset at the time. That year, several famous ancient trails in Jiufen were extensively renovated for the development of tourism, with their original quaint old stone step paths all being replaced by wide and flat granite step paths.
