Visitor Essentials
The farm owner, Wu Chun-fa, was the former executive chef of Haibawang. When the Farmers' Association promoted the "One Township, One Leisure Spot" plan, Wu Chun-fa resolutely resigned from his high-paying job and returned to his hometown to develop it. Charcoal kilns were common everywhere in Sanzhi decades ago, but now only two ruins remain. Wu Chun-fa restored the abandoned charcoal kiln at his home. In addition to the kiln itself, he also meticulously designed blackboard stone pathways, fern tree pavilions, lush green bamboo forests, and themed dining experiences. Mujiliao Farm is an ideal, secluded paradise. On holidays, visitors can come to Mujiliao to roast sweet potatoes.
