Hobe Mackay Medical Hall

The Hobe Mackay Medical Hall is not only one of New Taipei City's designated historic sites but also the first Western-style hospital in northern Taiwan. As Dr. Mackay conducted missionary work and provided medical services here, the site exhibits medical equipment and supplies from that era, along with an introduction to his life, clothing, daily necessities, and church-related items. These include an organ imported from abroad that was in Dr. Mackay's home for over a century, and traditional Tang suits worn by the Mackay family. A visit here offers insights into Dr. Mackay's life and the medical environment of his time.
