Laomei Stone Troughs

The Laomei Stone Troughs are also known as the Green Stone Troughs Coast. They get their name from the vast stretches of vibrant green seaweed that cling to the rock formations, creating a lush, verdant landscape as far as the eye can see. This rare and unique sight in Taiwan attracts many photography enthusiasts and tourists who come to admire its beauty. This stunning scenery typically appears from mid-March to early May, with its peak splendor around the Qingming Festival in April. During this period, the entire coastal grooves become covered with seaweed, forming continuous "green stone troughs" that dye the entire coastline a vivid spring green.
