Shimen Kite Park

Shimen Kite Park, located near Laomei in Shimen, covers an area of approximately 6 hectares. It is the most suitable venue in Southeast Asia for kite flying and international competitions. Its establishment originated from the annual grand festival held over the years in Shimen District — the Shimen Kite Festival. Since its inception, the festival has attracted many domestic and international kite enthusiasts to participate each year, bringing considerable tourism benefits to the local area.
