Shimen Wedding Plaza

Shimen Wedding Plaza, located in Shimen District, New Taipei City, is Taiwan's first wedding plaza, officially opened on March 9, 2008. It is situated on the beachfront directly in front of the New Eighteen Lords Temple at the 24K mark of Provincial Highway 2 in Shimen District. To continue the popularity of the 'North Coast Wedding Photography' event, which began in 2005, and to establish it as a permanent tourist attraction on the North Coast, the North Coast and Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Administration invested over 8 million NTD to transform what was originally an area of tin-roofed stalls into the first wedding plaza, providing a beautiful setting for visitors to take photos.
