Pinglin Old Street

Pinglin, with Pouchong tea as its main industry, is located in the middle section of the Beiyi Highway. Before the Beiyi Expressway opened, Pinglin was an important stopover between Taipei and Yilan. Pinglin Old Street is approximately 200 meters long, centered around Baoan Temple, the local spiritual hub. Along the street, there are tea houses, paper craft shops, tofu snack stalls, hardware stores, and other shops. The Pinglin District Office and Pinglin District Farmers' Association are also located here.
