Pingxi Station

Pingxi Station is located in Lingjiao Village, Pingxi District, and is a station on the Taiwan Railways Pingxi Line. Originally named 'Taiyang Mining Company Shidi Line', it was initially built as a dedicated railway for coal transportation. However, as coal mines gradually closed, the local population steadily declined, and the Pingxi Line almost faced abolition. It was preserved after active advocacy from local residents, and today, it has gradually seen a return of crowds due to the sky lantern releasing activities.
