Nanya Peculiar Rocks (Nanya Strange Rocks)

"Nanya Peculiar Rocks" is renowned as one of Taiwan's 36 secret scenic spots. It is located along Provincial Highway 2, between the 78 and 95-kilometer marks. The Northeast Coast National Scenic Area extends from Nanya in Ruifang District, New Taipei City, in the north, to Beigangkou in Yilan County, in the south. The entire coastline runs along mountains and beside the sea. Except for the continuous sandy beaches formed by marine deposition in the areas of Yanliao and Fulong, most of the region consists of marine erosion landforms.
