Tea Country Osmanthus Farm

Osmanthus Farm is located in Longsheng Village, Shiding District, and is also known as Osmanthus Village. It is Taiwan's largest osmanthus ecological farm and one of Taiwan's ancient tea regions, situated over 300 meters above sea level. Due to sandy soil and moderate rainfall throughout the year, as early as the 1950s and 60s, during the peak of the tea industry, local tea farmers used osmanthus as a fragrance for roasting tea leaves to enhance the tea's added value. For every 100 kg of tea, 25 kg of osmanthus was required, hence a large number of osmanthus trees were planted next to the tea plantations.
