Yinghan Ridge

Yinghan Ridge, at an elevation of 616 meters, is the highest peak of Guanyin Mountain. Guanyin Mountain stands majestically on the left bank of the Tamsui River, spanning three administrative districts: Wugu, Bali, and Linkou. It is named for its shape, which resembles a reclining Guanyin Bodhisattva. Within the mountain, there are also several ancient temples dedicated to Guanyin Bodhisattva. Guanyin Mountain is a conical volcano belonging to the Datun Volcano Group. Monsoon winds bring ocean moisture that transforms into clouds and mist over Guanyin Mountain, creating a spectacular and ever-changing sea of clouds. It is known by the beautiful name 'Benling Tuwu' (Ridge Spitting Mist) and was listed as one of the Eight Sceneries of Northern Tamsui during the Qing Dynasty.
