Getou Cloud Waterfall

Surrounded by mountains, this area experiences a unique phenomenon: when sunlight hits, moisture accumulated in the forests evaporates into clouds and mist. These clouds churn amidst the green mountains like white waves, creating a spectacular sea of clouds. There are many spots in this area to admire the sea of clouds, among which the Xiaogetou area along the Beiyi Highway is the most famous. From Xiaogetou, looking north towards mountains like Yuguiling, the peaks often rise above the clouds. However, with even a slight change in weather, the entire mountain range can become submerged in the sea of clouds, a truly magnificent sight. Compared to other sea of clouds viewing spots in Taiwan, its unique characteristics are its relatively low altitude and the high frequency of cloud sea occurrences.
