Ding Taishan Temple was built in the 19th year of Emperor Qianlong's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1754). It is the oldest temple in the Taishan area and is currently designated as a Class 3 National Historic Site. The most recent renovation took place during the Japanese colonial period (Showa era), planned and designed by the renowned master craftsman Chen Ying-bin and his apprentices.
