Located in Jinshan District, New Taipei City, the Li Qifeng Old House is a Southern Fujianese (Min-nan style) *sanheyuan* (traditional three-sided courtyard compound) with a history of approximately 200 years. It is the most well-preserved and grandest Southern Fujianese style architecture in the North Coast region. It is said that the owner of Qifeng Residence was Li Bu, who immigrated from Zhangzhou to Taiwan in 1802 to cultivate land. He started from scratch, became extremely wealthy, and was known as the richest man and a prominent family in Jinbaoli and surrounding areas at the time. Upon entering Qifeng Residence, one finds a crescent moon pond in front and an orchard behind, showcasing the complete traditional Feng Shui design aimed at attracting wealth and prosperity.
