Banqiao Houzhan Commercial District (Fuzhong Commercial District)

The Fuzhong Commercial District developed around the old Banqiao Station. It encompasses Zhongshan Road Section 1, Sichuan Road, Guanqian East Road, and Chongqing Road, and was historically the liveliest area in Banqiao. After Banqiao Station relocated to the Xinban Special District in 1999, the former station was converted into Fuzhong MRT Station. In recent years, through sidewalk improvements, public art installations, and streetscape enhancements, the Fuzhong Commercial District has linked with and integrated into the Xinban Special District, successfully transforming into a vibrant urban mixed-use commercial district with cultural and tourist attractions.
